There are two types of wrinkles — static wrinkles and dynamic wrinkles.

BOTOX, DYSPORT, & XEOMIN: THE DIFFERENCES
TREATMENT AREAS
Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) is FDA-approved for the treatment of forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet, excessive underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis), and various medical conditions. However, all neurotoxins can be used for all expression lines.
COMPOSITION
Botulinum toxin type A is the primary ingredient in all neurotoxins. This neurotoxin protein blocks the transmission of signals from nerve endings to facial muscles, thereby softening expression lines. However, Botox and Dysport contain additional complex proteins, while Xeomin is a “naked injectable” without added proteins.
The complex proteins are usually added to the injectables to facilitate absorption. They encourage your body to develop antibodies against the product, making subsequent treatments less effective after frequent usage. However, your body doesn’t develop a tolerance to Xeomin, making it suitable for patients who have already developed a resistance to Botox and Dysport.
